Wellywood Backpackers is the fusion of a desire to provide value-for-money accommodation in the heart of a thriving metropolitan city, whilst at the same time, sharing a passion to celebrate the many uniquely fantastic things about Aotearoa’s Harbor Capital.

As an independently owned and operated hostel, Wellywood Backpackers is an idea that we came up with, with the view to share our passion for Wellington.

As a Management team, we have two underlying missions for Wellywood Backpackers:

• To provide a safe, clean, friendly and affordable accommodation choice to our city’s visitors, and
• To provide an enjoyable stay that lets our passion for our city leave a lasting impression.

With this vision, we set about ensuring the entire Wellywood Backpackers team shared, owned and breathed the same enthusiasm and desire.

The result is a crew who bring a vigor and zest to welcoming visitors to Wellington, and a hostel fast becoming a shrine to both Wellington and it’s many, many extraordinary stars.

Their knowledge and shared passion to deliver great customer service, coupled with their commitment to provide guests with a fun, safe and clean environment, ensures that our vision is not only shared with guests, but continues to evolve with every guest interaction.
